We loved our first stop in Noosa. The cabin-style, independent houses gave it the feel of a premium holiday park, with a peaceful atmosphere and great family vibes. The front desk staff were polite and gave us a useful map of the facilities. They also organise family activities such as Movie Nights. There’s a pool, BBQ area and pool table, and the place is pet-friendly, which added to the welcoming feel. Our cabin was private and had its own parking spot right beside it, which was handy on a road trip. There was outdoor seating for relaxing in cooler weather. The kitchen had a microwave, kettle and fridge with a freezer compartment. A dishwasher would have been a nice bonus. Guests have to sort and take their own rubbish to the designated bins. For two nights of cooking, we didn’t have enough rubbish bags. Reception closes at 8:00 PM, so it’d be helpful to have a few extra bags in the room. The lounge had a sofa, dining table and chairs. Our unit had a double bed in a private bedroom and bunk beds in the living area, best suited to kids. Only the lounge had air conditioning; the bedroom had a ceiling fan. During our stay from Dec 17-19, the nights were cool enough that the lounge air conditioning reached the bedroom comfortably. The bedroom was a bit tight. We managed to fit two 29-inch suitcases, one in the wardrobe and one under the vanity, but there wasn’t much room left. The mattress was very comfortable, and we slept well. The bathroom had a shower curtain, but water tended to splash out, and the fixed overhead shower was a bit inconvenient. The toiletries provided were excellent quality. Outside, waking up to sunshine, flowers and birdsong was refreshing. All the windows had fly screens, though a few had small holes, so keep an eye out. Luckily, we didn’t have any mosquitoes during our stay. It’s a peaceful spot away from the crowds, about a 20-minute drive to Noosa Heads Main Beach. Woolworths in Tewantin is a five-minute drive away. Food tip: Charm Thai Cuisine near Woolworths had delicious, reasonably priced Green Curry and Thai Seafood Fried Rice.

The deluxe safari tent was beautifully laid out, and we made good use of the outdoor bath. Reception was warm and helpful, even letting us into the accommodation nearly two hours before check-in. We had a really nice stay and plan to return. The road beside the campground was the one drawback, with noise from early morning until late in the evening.

Most of the staff were very nice, though one person was rude to us on several occasions. There were also people flying in and out of the park. That may not be the park's fault, but it didn't seem to be addressed. In our cabin, water leaked across the bathroom floor through cracked shower grout, leaving it extremely slippery for the kids. An okay place to stay, but the bathroom needed repairs.

Our kids had a lovely time and enjoyed the facilities. There’s a fish and chips shop out front, which was handy. We stayed in a deluxe cabin, which was nicer than the budget cabins, though you get what you pay for. The pizza van wasn't available while we were there, so I can't comment on it.

The camp kitchen had everything we needed, the gardens were cared for, and there was no litter. Even with the place fully booked, it was so quiet after 8pm, and the amenities were spotless and nearly empty whenever I went in. It’s a great family spot, basically in Noosa’s suburbs. We didn’t find many nearby places to walk to with the dog, but the marina and good fish and chips were a short drive away. We'd booked a large ensuite site, expecting more room. Maybe it counts as large by caravan standards, but four sites were within arm's reach. With small kids and our big, friendly dog, we wanted enough space to avoid anyone being bumped or knocked over. The staff were friendly and quickly offered a solution. The alphabet-named sites were much longer, with a garden-like area behind them. They’re beside the road, so there was some traffic noise, but it didn't bother us. There were no neighbours in front or behind, though the sites were still closer together at the sides than we prefer. Everyone around us was friendly and respectful.
