Even with the site full, it never felt crowded, and we had a wonderful time on our first visit. We’re an older couple and brought our dogs along. The place was immaculate, the showers and toilets were very well maintained, and local activities were easy to get to. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We also loved the pizza idea, and the team behind it was fantastic. We’re looking forward to coming back.

Every evening, hundreds of lovely rainbow lorikeets came in to roost in the taller palms. They made quite a sight, and the palms gave the cabins privacy and the park a tropical feel. It was nice and quiet at night, so I slept really well. I stayed in the little Airstream caravan, which was super cute, cosy, clean and well laid out. The toilet block was tidy and thoughtfully arranged, with an accessible toilet and shower as well as a mother-and-baby cubicle with a baby bath. The staff were great. A lovely holiday park, definitely recommend.

Getting into Tewantin is easy, with a bus and a walk to town, and the RSL has a courtesy bus. Noosa isn’t far if you fancy a swim at the beach. We’ve stayed at this caravan park many times and love it. The sites are lovely and peaceful, the camp kitchen and pool are great, and there are activities in the park too. The staff are personable and even help you get onto a site.

The dump point was the worst part of our stay. On the first evening, a couple of backpackers emptied their toilet canister, and either that or the open dump point smelled awful. The ladies’ ablutions stank of it when I went for a shower. It might help to move the dump point farther from the vans and amenities, or do something to keep the smell down. Our site was 47, opposite the ablutions and laundry, with the dump point there as well. The facilities were clean, though old and well used. There’s only one ablution block in the park, plus a couple of extra toilets by the pool. The pool looked nice but was too cold for us. The games room was pleasant, though its TV was out of order. Surely they make enough to pop over to The Good Guys for a replacement. The grounds were well maintained and the bins emptied regularly. It was mostly quiet, apart from the birds arriving to roost in the evening. They were unbelievably noisy, but it didn’t last long and they were quiet in the morning. Apart from that smelly first night, things were okay. We arrived just after 11am and met a friendly, informative receptionist. Rob came to site 47 to help us park the van, as it’s notoriously tight. His directions were spot on and took the stress out of it. He got us between the pad and a tree first go. It probably would have taken us a few attempts on our own, so five stars for his service. We could ride to the marina, where the little cafe had excellent coffee and scones. There’s a fish and chips shop we might try before leaving. You can also ride into noosa for the main beach, Hastings Street and coffee and cake at the surf club. Driving is a pain, and parking is nearly impossible.

The staff were a huge help backing our caravan onto the powered site. The camp kitchen had everything we needed, and the shower and toilet facilities were clean, spacious and modern. We bought a GF based pizza from the regular Thursday pizza van, which visits every Thursday at the caravan park front gate.
