Marina Magic on Shingley

The staff were fantastic, and the location is nice, but the rooms are tired, poorly maintained, and need a deep clean. For a place billed as a five star resort with a pool, it's ridiculous to have to hire a pool towel. You'd expect at least one with your room. This is nowhere near a five star resort.

Maja at reception was helpful and informative, and even called Redcat adventures to confirm our booking. The location and views are amazing, and the spacious apartment had clean bedrooms, kitchen and living area, plus laundry facilities. But the bathrooms needed a deep clean, and the living room floor was so dirty that my socks turned black. I'd recommend staying here, though I hope management takes the cleaning feedback seriously.

My Dad and I had a lovely stay at Marina Shores. The gardens and pool were kept in great shape, and Maja at reception was friendly and helped get our room ready and suggest tours. Our two bedroom apartment was clean, spacious, well equipped, and had an amazing view. Thanks so much!

The only real problem was parking. Our camper van couldn't fit through the 2.2 m car park entrance, and although the welcoming staff suggested parking on the street, parking there comes with fines. One of our group had to get up three times during the night to move the vehicle so we wouldn't risk a $2000 fine. The apartment had all the amenities, and the staff were very friendly. The pool looked inviting and was surprisingly quiet for such a large complex. Just be aware the office closes at 5pm.
