Everview Luxury Retreat

The cabins were cozy, clean and thoughtfully set up, with what you'd need for either a short or longer stay. The views were breathtaking, and the pool and other amenities kept us busy all day. They'd suit families, groups or couples. Our host's warm welcome made the trip feel perfect, and we couldn't have asked for a better holiday. We'll definitely be back.

The cottages are so well equipped for relaxing, and the little touches made the stay special, from the aromatherapy soaps and shampoo to the robes, comfortable beds and welcome book. It pointed us to a nearby winery, where we booked a tasting. We also drove the 10 minutes into town for a few supplies, then came back to Bliss cottage for a soak in the jacuzzi-style spa, champagne bubbles and a view. The property has a veggie garden guests can use, interesting sculptures, a pool with amenities, a games room and a private fire pit for drinks and marshmallows. We even made what we called homemade harissa from the garden, there's a photo of it. There's plenty more I could say, but I'll leave some surprises. A luxury country cottage getaway, and we can't wait to return. We drove from Sydney with an easy trip, though at one point it really felt like we were escaping to the country. We stopped at the lolly bug for sweets and sauces to go with our BBQ dinner on the deck. On arrival, the retreat-style entrance led us to Clive, who was friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. He showed us around our home away from home and later introduced us to the farm animals. The lambs were so cute. Big thanks to Clive for making our stay extra special. We spent two nights in Bliss cottage and didn't want to leave. Luckily, serenity cottage was free, so we could stay one more night. Thank you, Mark and Angela, for sharing this beautiful place and creating somewhere wonderful to nurture. Wow.

Bring your own food and drinks. The place has everything else for a peaceful break, including an indoor kitchen, outdoor BBQ and fire pit. If switching off isn't your thing, there's WiFi, a smart TV and Netflix. The stone cottages are a rare find, and the interiors are so thoughtfully done. My partner and I have had several holidays in the couples cabin, and recently held both our wedding ceremony and reception there. Now the bridal party wants to come back too. There’s just one couples cabin, with a spa bath and sunrise views from the bed, plus two other cabins with views and BBQs for bigger groups of friends. The beds face the windows where the sun rises, well worth setting an alarm for.

We needed a getaway, and this lovely row of cottages was just right. It was cold, wet and rainy, so we couldn't spend much time outside, but the place had everything we needed and more for an indoor break. Each couple had a separate room, and there was a fully equipped games room, a fire pit for evenings and a well-equipped kitchen. And the view goes on forever. We'll definitely come back.
