The room was roomy and the bed comfortable, so it worked well as an affordable stopover for a night or two. It’s dated, but the price was good. There’s a pool and restaurant on site, and shops are about a two-minute drive away. There’s only a fridge, no kitchen facilities, so we bring a skillet with us and that came in handy. The restaurant prices seemed steep, so we ate elsewhere.

The kind receptionist was the best part of our stay. The bed itself was comfortable, but the pillows were flat. The rooms felt very dated, with peeling paint, a dirty duvet and weak shower pressure. I could only open one window partway. Breakfast was very basic, and the pool was a bit dirty. I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant: the portions were small and expensive, and the oysters were off.

One window only opened partway, and the other was jammed shut, seemingly from years of neglect. There was lots of short curly hair around the room, mostly in the bathroom, and none of it was mine. Other reviews seem to mention the same lack of ongoing maintenance.

The bed was clean and comfortable, and my room was clean with everything working. Dinner was pretty good, and both the receptionist and wait staff were lovely. I don’t understand all the negative comments. This isn’t the Ritz, but you get much more than you pay for here. I’m very happy with my stay. Thank you.
