The room was spotless and practical, and the bed made for a really good night's sleep. We booked at the property at the last minute and paid $10 less than the online prices. It's right on the main street, so easy to find, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The bar and restaurant service was lovely, with friendly, smiling staff. Food was delicious and nicely presented, including the homemade pizza. Great value, and I'd recommend it if you need a last-minute room.

We had dinner and drinks here during an overnight stay. It was a hot day, so the cold drinks were very welcome, and dinner was delicious. Staff were friendly and professional, and we could sit outside with our small dog. The signs between the bar, outdoor area, and inside could be clearer for first-time visitors, but we had a pleasant time.

We came back from stargazing at 8:25 pm and found the attached bar closing. To be fair, the barman served us a very quick drink. Another Queensland town that shuts early. The room felt among the most insecure we've ever stayed in, and the place was an absolute dump with nothing going for it. I can't believe booking.com lists it. Never again. Avoid at all costs.

The young manager handled an aggressive customer calmly and professionally, then answered a group of young boys' questions honestly and in a way that suited their age. It was wonderful to see. The staff were brilliant and very friendly, and the place had a lively atmosphere. I had the sirloin, which I strongly recommend, and the food was amazing. We ate here yesterday evening and will be back. Definitely drop in if you're in Charleville.
