Grand Hotel Motel

I'm new in town and went to the Chinese restaurant for takeaway. It took an hour, and the servers ignored me when I asked several times about my order. When it finally came, it was the wrong food. I paid nearly $50 for a meal I couldn't eat. I won't return. The service needs to improve, very disappointing.

DO NOT BOOK. I paid for a room booked two weeks ahead, but when I arrived the room was unusable: the beds weren't made, there was ladies' hair and bottle tops, and the linen clearly hadn't been changed. It was 9 pm, so the young English bloke replaced the linen and I had to sleep there. They offered a refund because no other rooms were available, but four weeks later they say booking.com has the money, which they don't. The manager hung up when I asked about the refund. Very upsetting.

We won't be back or recommend this place. Rooms and hotel toilets need proper cleaning and a lot of maintenance. A couple of meals weren't cooked properly and took a while to reach the table. There weren't enough linen items in the rooms, and we didn't get what we ordered, including salt and pepper shakers. When we cancelled because a bed was broken and couldn't be slept in, we were told to wait two weeks for our money back. They take your payment in seconds, though.

Mud on the floor, food scraps from the previous guests, and their used towel left in the bathroom. The room was a disgrace. The bathroom door was too big for its frame and wouldn't close. The shower barely dribbled, and it wouldn't turn off, so water ran down the wall all night. Staff were accommodating when I complained and offered another room, but we'd already showered and just wanted to sleep. They assured us it would be fixed the next day, but it wasn't. Never staying again, avoid it.
