Townsville City Motel

I was travelling without my family and just needed somewhere to sleep. This isn't usually the kind of place I'd book, so I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were really friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in lately. For around $100 a night in Townsville, I'd recommend this motel. A solid little gem.

We only ended up using the room for about two hours, and the housekeeper on duty helped us get $100 back. My sister had an appointment at Townsville hospital, and I booked the $200 room for the night because I thought it would take longer. I had two babies with me who needed to rest while she was at her appointment, but she was back quickly. The housekeeper was lovely and spoke to her boss, fiza, who refunded half, so we were charged $100. We called at the last minute and the room was ready when we arrived to pay. Shout out to the housekeeper on duty on Wednesday 9/7/25. I forgot her name, but she and her sister work there, Colleen and Rosie. Thank you so much 🙏

Rosie and Colleen, the cleaners, were lovely and helpful, and the managers were always available if we needed anything. The rooms were clean and uncluttered. No complaints from me at all.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. I was there for a week and the room was never cleaned. The soap and shower bottles were empty, left on the window ledge, and the shower drain was blocked, making it unsafe to use. There was a frozen beer and a bottle cap in the freezer, and people were allowed to drink and sit outside your door. For the price, it's a joke.
