We had to change our accommodation at the last minute after the horrendous service at the Windmill Motel, and this place was a very pleasant surprise. The staff were Australian, easy to talk to, and very accommodating with me and my children. We’ll definitely stay here again, and I’d recommend it to everyone.

At $160 for one night, the room was barely an improvement on a youth hostel, for the reasons below.

Customer service was great, and my first stay here three years ago was good. This most recent visit was a different story. The room smelled bad, and over the three nights I found cockroaches in the bathroom, climbing the walls and behind the bed head. On the first morning I went to make coffee, opened the cup drawer, and found live cockroaches inside. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Josh and Jess were awesome, so helpful. The clean, comfortable rooms sit back from the highway, and with the door and window closed there was hardly any traffic noise. Restaurants, the club, pubs, shops, parks, and the heated public pool are all within walking distance.

The motel attendant was very polite and knew a lot about local food options. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance, and Uncle Dan’s ( Dan Murphy’s) is wonderfully close. We slept despite the loud traffic, train noise, and emergency sirens. The new bathroom fittings were nice and the water was really hot. Beds were soft and a little aged, while the linen felt cheap and somewhat scratchy. I also don't know why we were told to park “face in”. It made mornings feel like a racing start.
