Collie Motel

The little garden screening the rooms from the street was really relaxing, and the location is great, with cafes, pubs and other places within walking distance. A spare toilet paper roll would be handy. There wasn’t any milk in the fridge either.

There’s no food service at this quiet hotel, but the pubs and other amenities are an easy walk away. The rooms have been renovated, are clean and quite spacious, and each has its own kitchen. For a hotel in a small country town, it’s not bad. I’d recommend it.

The budget room was old-fashioned and nothing special, but it did the job. It was clean, with a comfortable bed, ensuite, TV, kettle, and tea and coffee. The reverse-cycle air conditioner was a bit noisy. Service was friendly. The restaurant was closed that Wednesday night, so I can’t comment on it, though there are plenty of food options on the street. I’d happily stay again.

The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, and the shower is good. There are basic kitchen items, including utensils, a toaster and kettle. The motel is on the main street, close to parks you can walk to, and you can cross the railway line into town and watch the trains go by. I can recommend it.
