Seacove Resort

We spent a week in apartment 13. It was clean, lovely and well equipped, with very comfortable beds. The apartment itself is one I'd recommend, but the resort's outside areas were dirty and the pool wasn't kept clean. Such a shame.

We left at a loss of money after the manager was rude when we politely raised the problems. The room was disgusting: food crumbs were on the bed when we arrived, there was mould everywhere, and pubes in the shower and on the bathroom floor. We couldn't stay in there more than 20 minutes without feeling sick.

There's a pool and spa, balconies, and undercover parking, and the apartments have useful amenities, including a reasonable kitchen, washer and dryer. Beaches are nearby, while the main shopping area is a 15-minute walk or five minutes by car. The place is okay and reasonably good value, though Coolum can be pricey. The apartments are looking tired and could use a spruce-up. There's no lift to upstairs units and no Wi-Fi in the rooms. The TV is a tiny flat panel that seems out of place for 2022. Compare prices nearby before booking.

We were pretty disappointed. There was nowhere to park except out front on a big muddy strip, and the room smelled strange as soon as we walked in. It was the smallest room I've ever stayed in, like Harry Potter's cupboard under the stairs, while somehow the bathroom was the biggest room. Duct tape was holding pipes on the toilet, and black mould covered the shower and bathroom floor. There were instructions to put used dishes in a dishwasher, but all we had was a bar fridge and microwave. The bed had about two pillows, thin as paper. The TV that swung out from the wall was filthy on both sides. I'm not sure how much my partner paid for the stay.
