We stayed just one night, but I’d like to come back for longer. Our family of four booked a cabin, and a friendly gentleman at reception welcomed us when I picked up the keys. It was an adorable, very clean cabin with everything we needed, including hot showers and really comfortable beds. It was right beside the stargazing tour area, which made the walk easy with our two young children, since we had a booking. The park had a relaxed, friendly feel that brought back childhood memories. The pool looked great too, though we didn’t have time to swim. We couldn’t fault the place.

There was plenty of space and a pleasant shady spot, which helped in the 39-degree heat. It cooled down at night, and we slept well. The place was lovely, the facilities very clean, and the service was great. They also offer a stargazing show, and we were very happy with our stay.

The night sky here is wonderfully dark, with stars and planets clearly visible, and despite being beside the Newell Highway at the southern end of town, it was surprisingly quiet overnight even with lots of trucks around. There’s a small pool, a well-equipped camp kitchen, and spotless amenities. The staff are lovely and the rates are very good. It is an older caravan park, and that’s the reason I’ve given it four stars.

We stayed in our van on a powered site that was very level. The amenities were clean and the laundry was good. The hosts were friendly and accommodating when we asked to add extra nights.

The staff were friendly, though very casual, serving us barefoot. The grounds could use more upkeep and greenery, which would’ve helped on such a bloody hot day. It’d also be handy to have an amenities block closer to the non-powered sites.
