Copacabana Shores

We came as three families and booked two places described as “family villas,” but there was no living area in either, so we ended up sitting on the beds. It didn't feel family friendly, and one villa's balcony could only fit two people. The rooms were filthy when we arrived, with dead cockroaches on the carpet, and I had to ask for ours to be cleaned after we'd checked in. The kitchen flooded, and reception was filthy too. Very disappointing. I can't believe they rate themselves four stars.

The kitchen was comfortable for cooking, and there was a jacuzzi to unwind in after the day, plus a sunny balcony and a great bed. The location was great, and staff communicated well about the logistics. Would definitely recommend.

We left without staying the night. Fluid was leaking from the air conditioner onto the carpet, and we were told to put a towel underneath. The bed looked clean and fine, but the bathroom still had sand in it and wasn't properly clean. The place needs more care or an update. I wouldn't recommend it.

I booked at the last minute and was happy with the stay. The room was very quiet, the bed super comfortable, and the amenities spotless. Restaurants and the beach are within walking distance. Even before I'd fully checked in, the owner came downstairs to open the garage for me. I felt safe and would stay again if I travel to the area.
