After three huge days on the road from southern Victoria to Cairns, this was our first stop, and we had everything we needed to rest up. Kathryn and the team welcomed us so warmly and gave us the chance to stay in their lovely little motel. Thanks for making the first night of our adventure comfortable. It made a real difference.

My wife and I ordered the parmy, and it was enormous. Cooked beautifully, with chips, vegetables and our choice of gravy. The room was neat and tidy too, nothing to complain about.

The pub served cold drinks and simple, tasty meals, and it was an easy walk into town from this quiet spot. Our room was dated, but clean, with a comfortable bed, great air conditioning and the best water pressure. This older hotel motel fits right in with historic Cunnamulla, and we really enjoyed staying at the Billabong. Thanks to our hosts, Cathryn and Trevor, for a great stay. Highly recommend.

Dinner took about an hour to arrive, but it was worth the wait. The rib eye was cooked perfectly, and the vegetables and salad were fresh and full of flavour. That garlic sauce was to die for. We also had grilled chicken with mash, vegetables and gravy. One of the freshest, most delicious meals we've had in ages. If you have time to wait, I highly recommend eating here.
