The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. The food was lovely too, especially the steak, which I’d definitely recommend.

The fries and salad were good, and there are a few different seating areas to choose from depending on your group or mood. My snapper special, though, was about the toughest fish I’ve ever had, with a bouncy texture. Maybe it hit a hot pan while still cold. Pub food is average at best.

We come here regularly for Sunday lunch, and the meals have always been great. On a cold, wet day we had the slow-cooked lamb shoulder with roast potatoes, pumpkin, onion and Brussels sprouts, plus the beef and Guinness pie with mash and peas. The pie was cooked to order, and everything was delicious and outstanding quality. Service is consistently friendly and efficient.

The food was decent, but there wasn't much else to recommend the pub. Our empty plates sat on the table for almost an hour, and people smoked in the outdoor area despite it being marked non-smoking, even with young kids nearby. I wouldn't go back.
