The Blue Gum Hotel

We only stayed one night. The room was tidy and clean, though getting to the rooms involves stairs, so it isn't wheelchair friendly. At the end of the hall there was a small, bright room with cereal, tea and coffee. Heavy rain led to an incident in our room, but the owners and staff took great care of us. Jess, the night duty manager, and the housekeeping staff were brilliant that evening, and the owner and manager Matt were just as helpful the next morning. Everyone was polite and professional, and that made a real difference. Well done, Blue Gum Hotel. 👍

We stayed for four days as four adults, and I'd stay again. The room was cosy, comfortable and spotless, and the lady who cleaned it was lovely and helpful. We ate at the pub once. The food came quickly and was delicious. Four mains and two desserts cost $108, fair for the quality and quantity. Staff were very friendly.

The spicy prawn pizza was a letdown, soggy and undercooked, and just a terrible pizza. The buffalo wings, though, were good. We came to watch an NRL game on the big screen with sound, and staff happily saved us a table right in front. Blue Gum Hotel is about a five-minute walk from Waitara station, and the dining area has a nice atmosphere and friendly service. The craft beer range was amazing, with a dozen or more I hadn't tried, including a couple of great IPAs. I'll be back for more footy and beer. Also, love the Roosters jersey behind the bar! Cheers.

We had a family reunion in a private room at the Blue Gum. The pub menu and wine list were good, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Parking was a nice bonus. Just get a token from the bar to exit.
