Wrenwood Chalets

We had a magnificent stay, and our dog probably enjoyed it even more than we did! The cottage was comfortable, well equipped, and dog friendly. David and Anita were warm, welcoming hosts who were always happy to help. Wrenwood Chalets sits on a beautiful 100-acre property full of birds and other wildlife, on Caves Road not far from Augusta, WA. There are walking tracks and caves nearby, the beach is close, and town is handy for supplies. It’s far enough from town to be quiet and peaceful. Thank you so much!

We needed a break from city life, and this was just right. We stayed for nine days over the school holidays in a beautiful, central location surrounded by bushland and plenty of walking trails. David was a lovely host, and our little dog loved it here too. The chalet had everything we needed.

The 100 acres of natural bush were so peaceful to walk through, with plenty of birds and kangaroos. I have mobility issues, but found the tracks easy to walk. Our puppy was welcome too, by Phoenix and her baby sitters. The location is handy for the caves, Hamelin Bay, Margaret River, and Augusta. Chalet 2 was private and thoughtfully arranged, indoors and out. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a microwave, stove, oven, toaster, and a large fridge and freezer. There was a big dining table with lovely chairs. Rainwater ran throughout the chalet, and the shower got hot quickly. It was a large, open, flat-floor shower with rails, and there was also a rail beside the toilet. The lounge had a big TV, lots of DVDs, and a comfy couch. We only used one bedroom, where the queen bed was so comfortable we slept like babies. The sliding glass door opened onto the verandah, lovely to leave open at night, and there were power points on both sides of the bed. The washing machine and soap powder were a welcome surprise, especially since our puppy had been car sick on the way up. Outside, the BBQ was great and the chairs were comfortable. There was plenty of parking, with room to turn around a trailer, plus a verandah and a large covered clothesline. Phoenix, Rob, and Sian warmly welcomed us when we arrived and showed us around. Wrenwood is a hidden treasure. We had a delightful stay and are sure to return.

Dave’s hospitality made our three-night stay with our two little kids and doggo really comfortable. Chalet 1 was cosy, clean, and well equipped. The setting is quiet and private, with plenty of bushland to explore. It’s central to Augusta and Karridale, and even Margaret River isn’t that far away. Thanks, Dave.
