Wildsights Beach Units

The IGA shop is right opposite, and the location is perfect. The outside looks a bit rustic and dated, but inside it was lovely and clean, a really pleasant surprise when we arrived. There’s a well-equipped kitchen, a nice bathroom with a good shower, a comfortable bed and a pleasant living area. My partner and I had a lovely stay and would happily return.

We’d booked somewhere else, but there was a mix-up with the dates that wasn’t our fault. The owner rang Wildsights, and we were a bit apprehensive. Fran got us in, thank you! The place was spacious, with all the cooking facilities and amenities we needed and a good shower. You can’t judge a book by its cover, and this would be great for a family.

The units were tidy, very clean and homely, with everything we needed, including a washing machine. There was plenty of parking, and the hosts were friendly and obliging. It’s close to the beach and shops, in a perfect location. We’ll definitely stay again.

The good parts were a large fridge that kept things cold, a washing machine that wasn’t coin-operated, and a washing line, though it was a bit high to reach. When we couldn’t find the place, someone stayed on my passenger’s phone while we drove to the right location. But the unit itself was rough. From outside, it looked like a row of derelict fibro shacks. Inside was better, though the front and back fly screens wouldn’t close properly, the floors were uneven, and the windows were filthy. The air conditioners were noisy and blasted on their only setting, even on low. The shower had very weak pressure and couldn’t hold a steady temperature. The bedroom doors scraped the floor and had a gap at the top when closed, and the front step was uneven. Would I stay there again? Absolutely not.
