The rooftop was really nice, but the rest of the place felt dull, like a factory, and the staff weren’t friendly. The rooms felt like storage dorms at a college, with no windows for natural light, so it was dreary. The accommodation pictures show a gym as one of the facilities, but it’s in another building and isn’t part of the hotel. The place could easily be improved, but it’s not there yet.

The deck overlooking the lake was lovely and a nice spot to sit, and parking was very good. The place does have a factory feel, but it was still quite nice for an overnight stay. Its location was perfect for the stadium, barely a five-minute walk away.

This looks set to be a great place for sporting groups on the Sunshine Coast. It has a fresh, new fit-out and a distinctive approach to team and group accommodation and catering. With a good range of sports facilities both onsite and offsite, it could make any team trip one to remember.

The beds are uncomfortable and lumpy, and the food served is mostly bloody awful. There are curfews and rules that feel almost as bad as prison. It’s basic homeless accommodation, only just better than sleeping in your car.

My friend and I did housekeeping at lake kawana accommodation. We worked from 8am to 3pm without a meal break, and when we left the job they didn’t pay us. Kristy, kevien and clyton.
