The property was gorgeous, and our accommodation had its own bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and amenities. I planned a couple of romantic nights at the Samara Rainforest Retreat to surprise my partner, but ended up being the surprised one. It exceeded my expectations. Rick and Jaz were wonderful hosts, warm and so easy to talk with for hours. We loved the massages, breakfast and happy hour. Their hospitality is one of the retreat’s best features. We’d recommend it to anyone and hope to visit again soon. Thanks, guys xx

The house was amazing, from the beautiful entrance to the rainforest backdrop and everything in between. We had a glorious weekend at Samara, enjoying the luxurious surroundings and the generous welcome from Rick and Jaz, along with Honey and Molly. We had a relaxing massage as part of our package, and having the whole place to ourselves on a lazy Sunday was unforgettable. The hosts, accommodation and hospitality in the Buddha bar and at breakfast were all A1. Just fantastic.

My husband and I married at sunrise on a Sunday, but couldn’t travel away for a honeymoon then, so we booked one night at Samara in March 2017. It was the best choice. After lunch nearby, Rick and Jaz greeted us at the entrance with white balloons and welcome gifts. Rick made us cocktails while we swam, then we had an amazing couples spa and massage. We ate at the resort and were blown away by the food Rick prepared, both how it looked and tasted. He used to be a 5 star chef. They catered for my coeliac needs without any trouble and even printed personalised menus. We wore our wedding outfits to dinner, and Rick and Jaz took photos and happily helped with everything we asked for. After dinner, we had another cocktail and coffee, complimentary chocolates, and a gorgeous night view from the back patio over the pool and bushland. Having the resort to ourselves was amazing, and the room and facilities were gorgeous. The service, food, beauty and care we experienced at Samara were wonderful. We can’t wait to return. If you want to be spoiled and warmly welcomed, this resort is a must.

We spent a week at Samara Rainforest Retreat and Day Spa for our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier. Rick and Jaz made us feel welcome and at ease from the beginning. They looked after us throughout our stay and made it clear that our relaxation and enjoyment mattered. I’d highly recommend staying here. We left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, and keen to come back.
