The bed was comfortable, so I slept well, and the location is good. But the rooms, bathrooms and furniture are quite dated and could use an update. The breakfast buffet was pretty standard and not the best. The barista coffee, though, was very tasty.

The reception staff were helpful, and the service was good. Hay St is about a 15-minute walk away. Breakfast was the same every day. One day our room wasn’t cleaned, so I called reception at 3pm. They brought fresh towels, but didn’t make the beds or vacuum, and I had to get clean paper cups from reception.

We celebrated our 38 th wedding anniversary at your hotel on Friday the 3/10/2025. The room was comfortable enough, though cold, so we used the heater. Breakfast the next morning was very disappointing. We arrived at 00830 on Saturday. My husband ordered the full breakfast and I had the continental, but his meal was cold, dry and frankly not nice. I could only have cereal and toast. Your motel is the only one I know without mushrooms or shallots, a choice of eggs, sweet buns or a variety of cereals. And paper cups, really? It was a lot to pay for what we got. The serving staff were rude and discourteous, didn’t smile and were noisy with the dishes. Some etiquette training might help. I asked for percolated coffee and was told she wasn’t making another because it was past 0900 and she’d have to throw it out. Well, boohoo. You got $42 from us and we were disgusted. I’ll remember not to return to ambassador hotel and will tell everyone about our experience.

The rooms were small, dark and dated. I left a valuable piece of jewellery behind and called the hotel from the airport on the morning I checked out. They told me it would be kept until I could come back for it. When I returned to collect it, they couldn’t find it.
