The Wi-Fi was virtually unusable. The password was displayed, but the network listed on the notice board didn’t exist. The room also smelled overwhelmingly of cheap deodorant spray, and several things were broken, including the bathroom towel hanger and the chain for locking the door. It gave the place a neglected feel. The pillows were incredibly hard and made for an uncomfortable night. We were told not to park in front of our room because a bus was coming, but the bus parked on the opposite side, which seemed unnecessary and confusing. Then the cleaner knocked early in the morning and, an hour later, opened the door without knocking. This was well before checkout and felt disrespectful. Unfortunately, my stay at the Halfway Motel in Eden was far from satisfactory, and I can’t recommend it. There are better options in the area.

The bed was comfortable, though the pillow was a bit too hard for me. The standard motel bathroom was very clean, as was the room, which smelled nice when I arrived. The fridge, microwave, and tea and coffee facilities were all very good.

DIRTY, RUN DOWN, and DISHONEST staff. After a long drive, I arrived hoping to rest, but the room felt very uncomfortable. It was gloomy, rundown and musty, and the shower was dripping. I was in there for 20 minutes. Reception agreed to refund me, but two days later the front desk said they wouldn’t because the room had been “used.” I’ve now paid $145 to use a toilet in worse shape than most public bathrooms. STAY AT COAST MOTEL ACROSS THE ROAD.

It’s old, dark, and really run down. The carpets are putrid, and the chairs have years of dirt and filth on them. This place needs a deep clean and steam clean. The people running it should be ashamed; it’s seriously filthy and not fit for people to stay in. Do not be fooled by the 3.5 star rating, it’s a 1 Star at best. Read this again before staying here.

The place has declined since our last visit, and there was mould in the bathroom. Staff advised us to set the air conditioning to 30 deggrees, but it made no difference and still only blew cool air. You’d expect it to provide warmth.
