Snug Cove Villas

The owners clearly don’t read reviews or don’t care. We stayed for a week, and the four of us were given one roll of toilet paper. When I called to ask for more towels, I was told we’d have to pay for them or wash them ourselves. We’ve stayed in cheaper places with much nicer accommodation. We were in dolphin1, and it looked nothing like the photos. The view was of a factory right below, not the ocean. The couch was dirty, the dining chairs were broken, and food was stuck to the forks, so I had to wash all the cutlery before using it. There was a balcony but no BBQ there. The BBQ was downstairs in a garage, and there was no oven.

We loved the villa’s special loft, and the kids loved it too. It was very neat and clean, with a living room big enough for six. From the balcony or through the windows, we enjoyed the sunset and the bay view.

I don’t care that Snug Cove manages over 150 properties. I just wanted the one we were staying in to be clean. When we messaged them about the state of the place, that was their response. On arrival, the floors and surfaces were dirty, the cutlery wasn’t clean, and the bath had a scum ring. We tried the vacuum to clean things up, but it was broken. In the end, WE had to get the place up to a livable standard ourselves.

The living room was a great space, and the balcony was really nice. The villas have good views of Twofold Bay and Snug Cove. The beds weren’t very comfortable, though, and could definitely use replacing. They also got quite warm in the afternoon and early evening. The high, north-facing glass frontage made the villa feel a bit like a greenhouse.
