K'gari Beach Resort

The bakery on site and the general store were handy, and this was a great base for day trips. Staff were helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the view was lovely. Some furniture could use maintenance or updating, though tightening the loose chair screws was an easy fix. The breakfast buffet was the same every day but offered plenty of choice. Dinner was nice, and service stayed quick even with our group of 19.

We had a great time and would stay again. The resort facilities were well kept, with plenty to do on site and nearby, so it was easy to settle in and take our time. We were a group of four staying four nights, and the clean, comfortable accommodation gave us enough room to relax. It's a useful base for exploring K’gari, and although it's a large resort, the layout is easy to navigate and it never felt too busy. A good choice for families or groups spending a few nights on the island.

We came to Fraser Island, now called K’Gari, for the attractions and planned to spend little time at the resort during our three-night family stay. We still really enjoyed the facilities, especially the large pool, brand new tennis court and excellent BBQ areas. The only small issue for me was no internet in the rooms, though reception was available at the restaurant, just a ten-second walk away. A great experience.

Such a beautiful location, and the place has so much potential, but we left disappointed. The resort feels old and tired, nowhere near resort quality now, though maybe it was 30 years ago. We stayed three nights and our room was never serviced, even after we asked. Mould was all over the bath, shower, chairs and ceiling, and the carpets were terribly stained. The food at one restaurant was nice, another was closed, and the remaining one was very ordinary. 😞
