Fernvale Hotel Motel

My carbonara arrived lukewarm, 20 to 25 minutes after my husband's crumbed barramundi, which he liked. Meals should come out together, or at least close to it. I threw mine in the bin. Disgraceful, and I won't be back.

The rooms were lovely, clean, and clearly cared for by people who take pride in their work. I also met very friendly locals who made a passerby feel welcome. I didn't get to try the menu that night, though it looked great. The location was a treat too. Have a beer in the front beer garden late in the afternoon and listen to the thousand birds in the trees across the road. The staff were awesome, friendly, and helpful. Cheers for a memorable stay!

The bar girl was lovely, but the young guy working there was totally rude. This was the third time they'd messed up our meals, and we won't be back. We came in tonight for my mum's birthday and waited ten minutes to be served while the kitchen girl behind the bar was busy. The chef eventually took our order: garlic bread, two kids' meals, and three mains. The kids' meals arrived first. I asked the young guy where the garlic bread was, then asked again when the mains came two minutes later. It should have arrived before them. He rudely said it was cooking, refused when I asked to cancel it, and walked away. My medium steak was well done, the Diana gravy was plain gravy, and the garlic bread was cold by the time we ate.

The rooms were clean and tidy, with nice sheets and a good night's sleep. There was plenty of room for our mountain bikes in the large rooms, which had three beds each. The pool table was in good nick too, and after we finished playing, Jolee found us a pack of cards. Jolee and Chelsea at the bar also looked after us with drinks. There were six of us staying overnight at the Fervale Hotel Motel after riding over Mt Nebo from Ferny Grove, so we were ready for dinner. The steaks, grills, and parmy were all great, well cooked, fresh, and generous. A really good evening and stopover. Thanks, Jolee.
