This lovely town has a great pub right in the middle of it. The place is quaint, with winding rooms and different little areas, and feels like a step back in time. We had goat massaman curry and bangers n mash, and both were delicious. Liam, the bar tender, gave us top service. He was informative, friendly and efficient. I'd recommend the pub, unlike the imperial hotel!!

It was stormy, so we left the caravan and spent the afternoon at this pub having a drink. Our booth was cosy and comfortable, and gave us a peaceful spot to play a game. The publican didn't mind, and neither did the other patrons.

We stopped briefly for dinner at the Pipes and Drum Bsr and ordered the double beef bacon burger. It was incredible. The staff were excellent, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Strongly recommended 👌

The steak was superb, cooked just right and clearly good quality. Trent and Liam made our lunch special, and the staff were so helpful and accommodating, offering menu suggestions and seeming to enjoy their work. The hotel is beautifully decorated, with four fireplaces. Glen Innes has a real little gem in the Great Central.

I found this place after a quick search for ' best pub meal in Glen Innes. The coffee was good, but the $28 steak sandwich was very pink and cold. With the 10% Sunday surcharge, my coffee and meal came to $34. When I mentioned the steak, the waitress didn't seem interested. She said she'd tell the manager, but nothing else came of it. There was no apology or sign of concern, and very little engagement. Paying that much for an average, undercooked steak sandwich made for a poor food score. The service was poor too.
