Rockpool

Beautiful location, but the price wasn’t worth the experience. The house was noisy because of the rooms downstairs, though that wasn’t the owner’s fault. Inside, it was filthy, with cobwebs everywhere indoors and out, a leaf-filled pool and damp towels left on the bed. There were maintenance problems too: loose cabinetry, no toilet lid, one bedroom without a door, a fridge where the ice and water weren’t working, and furniture that looked ready to collapse. I’m also dealing with an ordeal with the owner over the bond. She’s claiming we used her water tank, though we didn’t even know there was one, and I feel she’s trying to keep our money. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Monica was a welcoming, hospitable host. Rockpool was clean and tidy, with a great pool area and a modern theatre. There’s lots of space inside and out, making it well suited to large families or groups, and a relaxing place for a down south escape.

Rockpool’s pool looked very inviting for a cool off and some downtime. The house was spacious, bright, neat and tidy, with tasteful furnishings for relaxing and everyday living. It’s in a great location, and we had a lovely short stay.

This was my second visit, and I love the Margaret River area and Gnarabup. The large multi-story house has an architectural design and distinctive furniture. It was clean, with a modern kitchen and very comfortable beds. We had great weather, though it was a bit cool for the pool. The area is quiet and relaxing, and Gnarabup is about a 10-minute drive from Margaret River. A great getaway.
