Beach Haven

The facilities were fantastic, with lovely pool options and clean, well-equipped BBQ areas. Beach Haven on Broadbeach is in a brilliant spot, right across from the beach and within walking distance of great restaurants, Woolworths and the Sunday markets. It's great for kids, with lots of space to enjoy the facilities. Reception staff were friendly and accommodating. We stayed in room 13B. It was spacious, well equipped and had a brilliant ocean view. The master bedroom air conditioner wasn't working, and nobody told us. If accommodation is advertised with air conditioning, I'd expect it to work. The lifts were also running below capacity during upgrades, so at times it took 30 minutes to get to or from the ground floor. Even with those problems, we had a great experience.

The apartment was modern and well equipped with everything we needed for a self-catering week, and there were goodies waiting in the room when we arrived. We really enjoyed the facilities, especially the indoor pool, spa and sauna and steam room when the weather was poor. The pools are heated, and the new outdoor pool and BBQ area is top notch. The indoor spa water could use some attention, though. It got very foamy when the jets were on. We were lucky to get a high-floor "A" apartment with an unobstructed ocean view. Indiana was a pleasure to deal with and helped with all our questions. She's a real asset to the business, so please pass on our thanks for her amazing service. The place was wonderful, but next door's construction did affect our stay. Every morning at 7.00am on the dot, a VERY loud jackhammer started up, and we couldn't sleep in. We were on the 28th floor, and it felt like the hammering was right outside the bedroom. I know this is outside Ultiqa's control, but it was still a problem. I'd give it 4.75 stars if I could, and once the work next door is done, I can't wait to stay again.

The staff were lovely, welcoming and genuinely helpful from the moment we arrived, and made us feel right at home. Our apartment was spotless, spacious and beautifully presented, with stunning ocean views. The welcome pack was a thoughtful surprise that set a lovely tone for the visit. Everything around the property was clean and well maintained. The location is convenient for everything Broadbeach offers, while still feeling calm and relaxing. We had a wonderful stay at Beach Haven Broadbeach, would highly recommend it, and will absolutely be back.

The location was really convenient, and the amenities were fantastic. We had a lovely stay overall. It was our first visit to Ultiqa Beach Haven, and the room change made a big difference. We had booked a standard two-bedroom apartment, but the one we were first given was old and dated, with only a fan in the bedrooms. That wasn't ideal with young kids in summer. Management moved us to the next room category at a special discounted rate, and it was much more comfortable and modern, which we appreciated. The one thing that bothered me was the $30 fee for a replacement room key. Our daughter accidentally snapped one in half, and I thought the charge was steep. I've travelled a lot in Australia and overseas and hadn't come across a fee like that before.
