Circle on Cavill - Q Stay

We had a wonderful stay and I'd definitely recommend the place to my friends. Everything we needed for a comfortable visit was there, and the light rail, restaurants, and shops were all close by. The view from the 24th floor was stunning. I'll be staying here again for sure!

The apartment was a nightmare, and Q STAY were completely unprofessional and wouldn't respond to complaints. The bathrooms were filthy, and there was sand and grease underfoot in the shower. The drains were so blocked the smell was revolting. Dust covered the skirting boards and fans, and the whole place reeked of neglect. They charged us $9,000 for seven nights, so we expected something luxurious, but got absolute rubbish. I definitely don't recommend renting from these people at all.

The apartment at Q Stay Cavill Ave was spacious, with amazing sea views, and felt private and comfortable. It's a few blocks back from the beach, with other high-rises nearby, but they aren't so close that you feel overlooked. It was good value, and having the lift take you straight down to food options and supermarket shopping was super convenient. A couple of minor niggles: there were only two tea bags for our seven-night stay, and the entrance and foyer were a little messy at times. That's fairly typical for apartment-style accommodation compared with motels. We had a really enjoyable stay, and I'd happily return.

⚠️ Do not book with Q Stay Accommodation. ⚠️ We booked a “luxury air-conditioned” apartment at Peppers Soul, but the AC didn't work. They had a portable unit with a tube hanging out the kitchen door, and it couldn't cool the apartment. In the Queensland heat, the place became unbearably hot. We contacted Q Stay and were told Jess (property manager) was at lunch, with no indication of when she'd be back. We went to the office to wait. We saw Jess walk in, but they kept us waiting another 40 minutes without giving us a timeframe. Reception was dismissive and said they'd have to “check her schedule” to see whether she could fit us in. When Jess finally spoke to us, she offered a $250 discount and said we could move to the Morrocan after three days. The Morrocan is a lower star equivalent suite, so that meant staying in an unbearably hot apartment until then. When we refused, we were called “difficult”. Jess was unprofessional, said nothing would make us happy, and offered extra fans. That's unacceptable for a place advertised as a luxury apartment with air-conditioning. Most concerning, she admitted they knew the AC was broken and hadn't disclosed it. She cited company policy that they could make reasonable adjustments and considered the extra fans “reasonable”. We only got a refund after pushing to escalate through Stayz. Once we finally had the refund, we walked to the Q1 and booked there. The apartments are beautiful and luxurious, and they do have air conditioning. I highly recommend staying at the Q1. ⚠️ Misleading, dismissive, and extremely unprofessional. Do not book with Q Stay. ⚠️
