Diamond Beach Resort 2BR Bath

The pool was nice, and the location was great for the beach and Pacific Fair. The room itself was basic and not very clean. There was hair on the floor, stains on the cushions, sofa and curtains, blocked shower drains, food on the blankets and food marks on the kitchen cupboards. The kitchen was full-sized but had very few cooking utensils. For a two-bedroom unit and five nights, there was only one toilet roll. The beds were hard and not very comfortable. The smoke alarm was faulty and went off several times, including at 1am. Reception told us to just leave it off. We arrived late, and the self check-in instructions were unclear.

The kids loved the pool, especially the night swims after dinner. We also had plenty nearby, including Woolworths, Coles, fuel stations and Pacific Fair. The beach was a short walk away, and there were lots of fun activities for kids within a 5-10 minute walk or drive. One of our rooms was on the third floor with no lift, so I’ll keep that in mind when booking at breakfree next time. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We had a great time, and the BBQ and pool area was perfect for families. You can cook tea while keeping an eye on the kids. The place is definitely family friendly, but the cleaners need to do better. The rooms weren’t clean. I vacuumed hair off the carpets, found long black strands under a bathroom sink and a macDonald’s box in one bedroom. There was pop corn in and under the lounges, along with dust and maccas toys. The verandahs and glass doors needed cleaning, the throw rug was stained, and the room fans only ran on low. The rooms were hot, with AC only in the lounge. If cleaning products had been provided, I would have cleaned things again myself, since I like everything clean.

The facilities and pools were fantastic, and the beds and linen were clean. The rooms weren’t: there were coffee spills on the floor, flood crumbs along the kitchen floor edges, and makeup and toiletries left behind by previous guests. The balcony was covered in old bird poo, and its floor was very dirty.
