Opus Broadbeach

We’ve had some of our worst and most unsafe hotel experiences here. The apartment smelled strongly of sewage from the moment we arrived. I called the after-hours service several times, but they didn’t offer another room or any real help. They just told us to pour hot water down the drains, which did nothing. The second bedroom was so bad my mother and daughter couldn’t sleep in it. Later, the sewage odor became much stronger, filled the apartment, and even came through the air-conditioning. It made us nauseated, and we felt the room was unsafe, so we had to sleep on the balcony because the air inside was making us sick. Reception acknowledged that they knew about the problem, but management never contacted us. They also refused our request to release the $500 bond so we could pay for a new hotel. The stay caused us extreme distress, financial strain, and serious health concerns. I strongly advise people to avoid this property. There was no duty of care whatsoever.

We spent a month in Unit 80 and loved it. It was modern and clean, with awesome ocean views. Opus is well placed for buses and trains, shopping, and beach walks. The front desk team were friendly, welcoming, and helpful, especially Dee, who always made time for a chat. We’ll be back and highly recommend it 😁

The location in Broadbeach is one of the best, and the apartments are clean, modern, and very well maintained. We had amazing views of the beach, city, and mountains.

I wish I’d taken more photos of those ocean views through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The rooms are well kept, and the views are amazing. It’s barely a minute’s walk to the beach, and Broadbeach’s Oasis shopping centre, with great cafes and restaurants, is about 15 minutes away. A must-stay apart-hotel in Broadbeach, highly recommended!
