Quarterdeck Apartments

This was a disappointing stay and a waste of money for the price. When I asked for tissues, I was told, “You can buy your own.” It’s shocking to be expected to buy something as basic as toilet tissues. Room service was no help either. There’s apparently been ongoing construction for 8 years, with constant noise and disruption. In the room, the carpets were filthy, the cutlery was poor quality, the sheets were stained, and the toilets were unhygienic and badly maintained. A persistent unpleasant smell made it unbearable to stay. I want a refund. Not money well spent, please.

The manager, Zom, was friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent. Everything was clean and tidy, and for what you pay this is great value. The building isn’t especially new or the flashiest on the street, but a lot of people leaving bad reviews seem to mix up a holiday apartment with a hotel. You get good value for your money here.

The GLink is right outside, and the location is fantastic. The rooms are spacious, the amenities are good, the price is fair, and the desk worker was nice. But for a four-day visit with multiple people, we got just one roll of toilet paper and had to pay for more. The fridge also still had food from the previous guests, including expired chicken breasts and other items. That doesn’t reflect well on the cleaning.

With an indoor and outdoor pool, the kids could swim even when it rained, and the tram stop right outside made it easy to get around. Everything is extremely close by. Our apartment was clean and tidy, apart from the very dated lounges. It was a great place to stay with kids, with large apartments too. Zom, the manager, is lovely and takes good care of the property. We’d definitely come back.
