90 Mile Beach House & Villas

We came for a week of rest and the villa was just right. It’s only 200 metres from the beach, a lovely place to walk, with plenty of seagulls for our dog to chase. The General Store across the road serves great food, too. Inside, there was lots of kitchen gear, a comfortable bed, strong WiFi, and a big selection of books and DVDs, plus games for children. A second TV in the spare room might be useful for families. The sunny, roomy villa had a partly covered outdoor area with a BBQ and plenty of seating, fenced so our dog could safely explore. Service was great, and having fresh towels every second day was nice. We’ll be back.

The owner made us feel so welcome, and Shirley's Cafe & Bar is just two doors away for brunch or afternoon drinks. The beach is only metres away, with everything else we needed an easy walk too. It’s a clean, spacious beach house with all the things you need. We’ll recommend it to friends and family.

We ended up cutting our stay short after another outage left us facing a whole day without water. It happened the day after we arrived, and there was no message from the owner. We only learned from the power company’s website that this second outage was unplanned and would last until evening. The first day had also started without electricity. The owner told us by phone that this one had been planned, but we’d had no warning, and there was no backup water supply. Waiting for power to return was frustrating. We told the owner we were leaving early, but got no sign of concern. I understand outages can happen, but the lack of communication and help made an already disruptive situation worse and wrecked our holiday plans. Our stay at 90 Mile Beach House & Villas felt neglected, and I can’t recommend it unless these problems are addressed.

The owners let us check in early and leave late, and when we needed to reach them once, they responded quickly. The villa was very clean, with a comfortable bed, everything we needed, and fresh, soft smelling towels. It’s very well priced and just a couple of minutes from the beach. The General Store across the road has fish and chips, and there’s a cafe and restaurant two houses away. Highly recommend it.
