Goondiwindi Holiday Park

The staff were really lovely, and it's not too far to drive for supplies. We found our cabin cleaner than anywhere else we'd stayed on our journey. I care more about cleanliness than having newly renovated rooms, so that mattered to me. It's a brilliant park for a cabin stay with dogs, with two fenced dog parks to exercise our furbaby and a very clean, large swimming pool. During each of our two stays, one train went by. It's extremely loud, so keep that in mind if you have timid dogs. Otherwise, the park is very quiet. :)

I strongly advise against booking at this park. We booked one night's accommodation through Booking.com and paid by credit card on the site. Later, the park asked us for our card details. We'd never had that happen, so Booking.com confirmed we shouldn't share them because payment had already been made. We called the park as advised. The manager said they'd cancel our booking unless we provided the details. We politely asked them to send that request through Booking.com, but were then told our booking had been cancelled. We're now trying through Booking.com to get our one-night accommodation payment back, and other reviews make me doubt that will go well. The owner was rude and aggressive, so be aware if considering this place. Also, some positive reviews attributed to different customers reuse the same images, which raises concerns about whether they're authentic.

The owners Anne & Tim are so friendly and lovely, it felt like catching up with old friends or relatives. We've stayed three days and have one more to go. It's a fantastic place to park up, relax, and watch the world go by. The park is pristine and well maintained, with clean amenities and a pool that's a real blessing. There are two great off-leash dog parks where your doggo can stretch their legs. I'd highly recommend staying here, it's well worth the money. If you haven't seen Gundy, it's well worth a look. It's a very nice town.

The Manager was wonderful. We arrived early because of the time difference and were given a warm welcome. Our overnight drive-through site was spacious and flat, and the park was secure with fencing all around. The place was clean and tidy. When a handle on one of our van drawers gave us trouble, the Manager came to help with his friend. He went above and beyond. Great service, and we'll definitely stay here again.
