The homemade meals were a real highlight, with local ingredients at every sitting. We spent two nights at Truffle Lodge in January, in a thoughtful, distinctive room right by the river. Such a lovely setting, and the best glamping I’ve tried. Highly recommend it.

The shared space by the fireplace made it easy to slow down and enjoy time with family and friends. The tents were really comfortable, and the place itself is beautiful and peaceful, just an hour from Hobart. The staff were so kind, serving breakfast and dinner and making the stay feel special. Thanks to Laurelle and the team!

We loved coming back to Truffle Lodge in the evenings after exploring the Derwent Valley during the day. The location worked perfectly for that. It was peaceful, with lovely views, and the hospitality was exceptional. The menu was simple and delicious, showcasing Tasmanian produce. Thanks to all the staff for being such welcoming, knowledgeable hosts.

The home-style meals were plentiful and pleasant, with a bit of flair. We also had a fantastic moment spotting our first wild platypus just metres from the glamping tent. The location was beautiful and tranquil, the accommodation delightful, and the owners and staff were genuine and obliging in wanting to make our stay special.

Spacious tents, attached bathrooms and big, comfy beds made it easy to unwind, with everything we needed. Glamping at its best, in a great spot beside the creek where there are platypus. This is how camping should be.
