The views from the accommodation were spectacular, and the place itself was wonderful. Helen and Michael made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Nothing seemed too difficult for them, including my request for sourdough and skim milk. One morning they even went to the bakery especially to get the bread. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, and there were freshly baked muffins each morning. We stayed a few nights and will definitely come back. Thanks, Helen and Michael. You’re lovely people.

We spent 15 nights with Helen, Michael and Hera, and felt right at home. It’s a peaceful spot with lovely Tamar River views, and our dog had lots of room to run around and the company of Silver and Abby. The hosts were so friendly and always willing to help, especially with making our dog welcome. Helen cooked a great range of meals, and Michael made fresh muffins every day. It was excellent value for money. Julie, David, Adam and Abby.

There’s plenty of space to sit back and enjoy the Tamar Valley and river views at this lodge. My partner and I spent five lovely nights here, and it was one of the most comfortable, restful places we’ve stayed. We arrived late in the evening and were welcomed straight into a warm, clean, comfortable room. The homemade breakfast was fresh and amazing. Helen and Michael were charming and professional, and made us feel as if we were visiting friends. We hope to stay again next time we’re in Launceston visiting family and friends. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality. Wishing you and your family a happy and prosperous New Year. Lynne and Norm.

We really didn’t want to leave. It was quiet, the views were lovely, and our dog had all that open space to enjoy. The cottage was amazing too, and Helen and Michael were such great hosts. They even gave us baked treats. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed.

We used this lovely place as a base for exploring the Tamar Region and beyond. The meals our host cooked were delicious, and our Schnauzer Tiffany was thoroughly pampered and spoiled. A wonderful home, setting and hosts. Highly recommended.
