We booked three nights and had a fantastic, relaxing stay, even with the cold, windy weather. The river runs right beside the cottage, and it was lovely just sitting there and enjoying it. The owner helped us get settled over the phone, with instructions about where things were and how to get everything going, including the fire. The cottage was clean, tidy and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed: dishes, cutlery, a chopping board, fridge, freezer, TV and iron, plus plenty more. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

The location still makes me want to come back, especially in summer when we could sit in the rivulet with a drink. My friends and I booked both cottages while we were down for Willie Smith's last winter festival. We were drinking, so we booked a southern taxi service, which was easy to arrange. The cottages had different setups. My friend's had a heat pump but no working bathroom heater, while mine had a wall heater in the lounge and a working one in the bathroom. I really enjoyed the spa, but my DVD player didn’t work and I could only get about four TV channels. It seems the more expensive cottage gets the heat pump and all the TV channels, but its bathroom heater wasn’t working. That’s not a concern in warmer months.

A peaceful property by a beautiful river, with lovely accommodation dating from the 1840s. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. There was enough port for six tipples on a chilly evening on the deck, and a BBQ was included. The host was lovely and is a multi-published author. Highly recommend.

A nice overnight stay in a cosy place. The bed was the most comfortable one I’ve had in all the B&Bs I’ve stayed at before.
