Comfort Inn Sovereign Gundagai

We'd called around everywhere without finding a room, then finally came across this clean, welcoming motel. Rob helped us get a room for the night. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. I'd recommend staying here.

We were looking for somewhere to stop after flying in from Vancouver and driving from Sydney toward Melbourne, and found this inn. It was great value, with spacious, very clean rooms and modern bathrooms. The beds were comfortable too, and the staff were nice.

Chris at reception was bright, caring and lovely, and seemed to be across everything happening in the business. She made us feel very welcome. The family room gave the three of us our own beds, and was clean and great value at $156 a night. It had warm air con and the toilet was separate from the shower. For dinner, the service club diagonally across from the motel was a good choice. We also enjoyed the country drive and will be back. If you're heading toward Yass and want breakfast out, try 'The Dog on the Tuckerbox', where another lovely woman supports the local region.

The bed was nice, the internet worked fine and the rooms were clean, but the cups were very dirty and there was dust around the cupboard. The front desk man was extremely rude to me, even though I was polite, and I heard him speaking rudely to another customer on the phone too. We paid to have a Portacot ready for our baby, but there wasn't one in the room. When we came back from dinner that evening, it had been left at the front door with no note, and it was so dirty we chose not to use it. Based on my experience, I would never recommend this hotel.
