Edie and Brian made us feel so welcome, they’re amazing, friendly hosts who really go out of their way. We stayed in a newly renovated room with fresh linen and comfortable beds. After a hard day’s work, that amazing shower was just what we needed. We also had a relaxing swim in the beautiful pool. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The room was overpriced, and there was old food in the fridge. I’d called ahead to arrange a late check-in but never got the text explaining how to find my room key. No one picked up the after-hours number, so at midnight I was stuck in the car with two kids, trying to get into the room. When I finally reached someone, the woman who came out was rude, unprofessional, and unpleasant. If it hadn’t been so late, I would’ve gone somewhere else. A very disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it. :(

We brought our two dogs for a one-night stop at the Billabong motel. It worked well for a quick stay and was pet friendly. After a long day driving, I really appreciated the shower, the head was amazing. I’d forgotten my shampoo and conditioner, and the pump bottles supplied were handy. I’d stay here again.

We stayed in a dog-friendly room and it was great. The room was very clean, with excellent shower pressure, always a bonus 😄 Julie was friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely come back if I’m in this area again.

I arrived in Gunnedah tired, without planning to stay, and came across this cute motel. The owner was lovely and upgraded me to a better room for the price of the one I’d wanted. I also swam in the very clean saltwater pool. I loved my stay at the Billabong Motel and would highly recommend it.
