Boronia Peak Villas

We came for a romantic getaway to celebrate life, our 30th and (!) 35th marriage anniversaries. We had the Super Deluxe, standalone, self-contained villa, totally open plan, with a king size bed in the loft. The round double spa is sunk into the living room floor in front of the open fire. Even though it was sunny and warm outside, we enjoyed a bath, wine, the fire and the views from the spa, with kangaroos hopping through our backyard. Where on earth do you find something like that? As a bonus, we happened to be there for the Halls Gap Jazz Festifal. We'll certainly come again on our next journey to Australia!

After a long day hiking, the comfortable queen bed was very welcome. The villa was tidy and surprisingly spacious, with two bunk beds, a small kitchen and a TV. A wooden divider screened off the spa bath and toilet. The decor was a little dated, though in good condition. WiFi through an Optus service was adequate, but it didn't handle multiple devices being connected at once very well. Halls Gap town centre is an easy walk along a shared path, and there are several good places to eat in town. A convenient base for exploring the area.

We enjoyed hiking in the gorgeous Grampians, spotting kangaroos and deer in our yard, cooling off in the pool and using the in-ground spa. We also had dinner on the BBQ each night. The cottage has everything needed for a comfortable stay, and our hosts looked after us well. Thank you, Stephanie and Harry. We loved staying at Boronia Peaks!

We had a great pool right there and towels were supplied, which was convenient. Emus and wallabies came right to our door, and the location was very central with plenty of parking. The complimentary bread and paper on the first morning were a nice touch. The wood fire worked well, and there was plenty of everything for our large group, which included our adult kids and their partners for the weekend. The BBQ wasn't brilliant, since it didn't heat evenly. We'd definitely return.
