Marwood Villas

We booked a two day stay and were struck by the beautiful surroundings and peaceful grounds when we arrived. Our villa had everything for a romantic getaway, including a spa, double shower, and wood fire, all of which we used. The caretakers were friendly and knew the area well. There was plenty of wildlife, and town is a short walk away. A great base for visiting the Grampians. Highly recommend.

My partner and I stayed in Villa 5 from 12/07/25 to 17/07/25 and couldn't have asked for a better place. The property is beautiful and well maintained, and the Villas felt like home as soon as we walked in. Can't wait to stay here again, hopefully in the near future.

The grounds were a real highlight, with fresh mountain air each morning and kangaroos, ducks and birds nearby. We stayed in villa number 4, one of the castle-looking ones, and my wife loved feeling like the princess I always tell her she is. The staff were friendly, helpful, and happy to chat and joke around. There was plenty of firewood for the wood fire, and a fresh loaf of bread was provided. We only wished our couple of days hadn't ended so soon. We’ll definitely be back. Five stars doesn’t feel like enough.

We keep returning to Marwood Villas, and the setting is a big part of why: a lovely villa at the foot of a beautiful mountain, far removed from work and everyday stress. After the drive, relaxing in the jet spa bath is just right, especially with a bottle of wine waiting. The mornings are peaceful too, with coffee and kangaroos grazing outside the window. You might also get to chat with Cameron, the gameskeeper, and hear his local stories and knowledge. It’s worth the journey and the money.
