Coconut Palms on the Bay

Getting checked in and parked was easy, but that’s where the good points end. The rooms are basic, which is fine, but the duvet was stained and had no cover. The place smelled damp, and traffic noise was ridiculous. The curtains didn’t fit and the blinds were broken and kept falling down. I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but other travellers should know.

We usually stay in resorts, but wanted somewhere quieter and were happy with this three star apartment. Apartment 7 was simple and clean, with a comfortable king bed and a great double reclining lounge. The lounge, dining area and main bedroom all had good air conditioning. We stayed for seven days and enjoyed the clean pool. The secure gated complex was a plus in such a busy area, and meant you knew you had a spot. There are two water access points across the road, and the farther one has a shower for rinsing off. Plenty of places for breakfast, lunch and dinner are within walking distance. It’s on the esplanade, so some road noise comes through. The self service check in kiosk was easy to use, too.

The kitchen was spotless, modern and had everything we could need. We also used the BBQ, which was beautifully clean, and undercover parking was handy. Check in was a breeze, and the security gate at the driveway made us feel safe. Our one bedroom King apartment had a very comfortable bed and we slept so well. The buildings are older but clearly well maintained, with nicely updated, spacious rooms. Coconut Palms was immaculately clean and exceeded our expectations. We’d come back again and again.

We stayed in apartment 7 on the first floor. It was cosy, relaxing, clean and tidy, with really comfy beds and great air conditioning. Shops, cafes and bars are an easy walk away, and the water is just across the road. Customer service was great. We had a lovely stay and hope to come back soon for much longer.
