The owner and staff were amazing, helpful and attentive. The free bike hire made it easy to get around town, and everything was as advertised. It felt more like staying in a home than in a cramped hostel, with a full kitchen and a TV and social area in the units. A comfortable place, and I’d highly recommend it as an alternative to a larger place.

The private room was really nice, with a huge bed. It wasn’t hotel standard, but the shared facilities were great and it was good value. The place is split into sections, each with its own kitchen, toilet and common room. Only downside is that you have to pay extra to use the air con in the rooms.

I spent a few weeks here working in exchange for accommodation. The hostel was very clean and pretty quiet, and it’s close enough to the beach that I could easily run there in the morning. The only thing I’d say is the owner isn’t always warm and fuzzy.

We got there after 11 PM, and the owners had emailed instructions for getting into our room. They were very accommodating and flexible. The area was quiet, which suited us since we had to be up at 5 AM. Thanks!

We were only there for a night, but it was welcoming and peaceful. The room, kitchen and bathroom were all much better than average. I’d come back if I’m in the area again.
