The peaceful setting and warm hospitality made this a memorable stay for our Japanese guests. They absolutely loved it. Angela made everything feel easy, with a welcoming, caring approach and thoughtful attention throughout. She even suggested a local chef and had no commission or hidden arrangement involved, which we appreciated. The beautiful log fire added to the relaxed feel, and the spacious, comfortable accommodation had so many useful inclusions. We had a perfect stay at this lovely country estate and would recommend it for an authentic, restful escape.

Getting ready for a wedding here was such a pleasure. The natural light is lovely, and the pillows and bedding are incredibly comfortable. We especially loved the outdoor bath. Set high on a hill, the place looks across beautiful farmland to the Southern Ocean, with wide open views and a real sense of calm. Every detail felt considered. Can't wait to come back.

We chose OCRE for our wedding weekend, and it worked beautifully as a place to get ready that morning. The rooms were spacious, clean, and lovely. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a wonderful meal, and the Estate is close to The Lost Pheonix Farm, where we enjoyed a delicious lunch and gin tasting. Back at Old Coach Road Estate, we made the most of the views from every room and balcony, sitting by the indoor fire with the provided port. There was nothing we needed that wasn't already there, plus some lovely gifts. What an amazing weekend. The Estate has won plenty of awards, and I can see why. It felt five star and more, if I could give more stars, I would.

Angela was a wonderful host, checking in proactively several times to make sure we had what we needed. She'd also stocked the house with complimentary treats, including wine and nibbles, ready for our arrival. The property was spotless and tidy. From the moment we walked in, the sweeping views down the valley to the water were incredible. The online photos really don't capture them. OCRE is one of the most amazing rentals I've had the good fortune to stay in, and I can't wait to return.
