We had a spacious, comfortable room that was clean, warm, and well serviced. The beds were very comfortable, and the place was an easy walk from Royal Hobart Hospital and the essentials while family were there for about a week. It’s not especially new or modern, and the kitchenette was basic. The fridge needed a hanging extension lead to reach the PowerPoint, and there were barely enough utensils for cooking. We bought the extra bits we needed and managed perfectly well.

The waterfront location was fabulous, and I’d happily stay here again. I was here for one evening on a business trip last week. The room was perfectly fine and serviceable, though the building felt a little tired and run down. Nothing was bad, but it left me thinking the place could use a good refresh.

The hotel’s showing its age, though it’s in a good spot for the waterfront. Parking was tricky: another resident had taken our assigned space and seemed unable to park properly. The room had plenty of wine and drinks, but not much else. Because it was a public holiday, it wasn’t serviced and the amenities weren’t replenished.

Everything was within a few hundred metres, including Salamanca Place, the CBD, and Constitution Dock. The hotel is right in the heart of Hobart, just a short walk from dozens of restaurants, pubs, cafes, and the city centre. Our room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable, and the staff were friendly.

Quest Waterfront saved our holiday. Our reunion group suddenly lost its accommodation, and we urgently needed rooms for 6 families. The team quickly matched rooms to each family’s needs and welcomed us with warmth and efficiency. We loved the rooms and the location, which made it easy to enjoy the local food, drinks, coffee, parks, and sights. The service was the most personal and helpful I’ve had at a hotel. We can’t wait to visit again.
