Innisfail Riverfront Motel

The location might be good, but the room had a serious trip hazard, a 5 inch drop from the bedroom to the bathroom, and a dodgy mattress. When I complained, the Asian woman said they had a new one to replace it. A bit later she walked straight in twice without knocking, once while my wife was getting changed. We made them move us to another room. Don’t go out onto the patio: besides the steps down, it was completely covered in slippery algae and slime and clearly had never been gerniedn hosed. I planned to tell the Asian woman firmly about all this when we left, but she was nowhere to be seen. Not the best vibe.

The location is great, close to the waterfront and restaurants, and I’d definitely recommend this motel. Call for bookings, as it books out fast. Kate made us feel welcome right away and was very attentive, always around to help with questions. She was extremely friendly and warm. The rooms were clean with a nice sweet touch. We were 💯 happy with everything. Thanks again for a wonderful stay :)

Fred was very helpful, and there’s on-site parking. I’d stay here again. The Innisfail Riverfront Motel was a pleasant surprise: my room was comfortable, recently renovated and well appointed. It had a galley kitchen with a full size oven, microwave and bar fridge, a good size bathroom, and good lighting throughout.

This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Mould was everywhere, across the bathroom roof and the bedroom roof, and the bathroom tiles and grout were revolting. I booked four nights but stayed only one because the room was uninhabitable. The manager offered a refund for one night. I’ve had to report the place to the heath and safety department and office of fair trading. Crap room, crap management.
