The price is reasonable, and the Three Sisters are close enough to walk to, but getting to the town centre takes quite a while on foot. Maintenance seems to have been neglected for around 20 years, much like at other Katoomba motels. The fridge has a rusty, rustic look, and the curtains have what you might call extra ventilation holes. That seemed to be the usual standard in Ktown. UPDATE: Thankfully, the place has closed, been gutted, and is being rebuilt.

We had very little contact with staff, and the rooms were average at best. Finding cobwebs in the wardrobes when moving things around wasn't pleasant, so the cleaning could have been much more thorough. Oddly, the poor cleaning also meant a wallet one of us left behind wasn't noticed, even after the room was cleaned and checked again. We were told they'd let us know if it turned up, but it was the next guests who contacted us about it. That left us concerned about both cleanliness and communication. At least the place is only a few minutes' walk from the Three Sisters and is a handy starting point for other walks.

The photos looked great, but the location was the only good part. The room smelled off, the beds were really uncomfortable, and when I pulled the curtains aside I found mould all over their backs. While I was in the bathroom, the fly screen blew off and landed on me. It was attached with Velcro, and it was very windy. I wouldn't stay again.

It's such a quiet, lovely little place, and Joseph is really helpful. We come every year and always get the spa suite. Love it here, never want to leave.
