From the balcony there was a great view of beautiful Bathurst, and the free breakfast was a bonus. They also left plenty of tea, cookies, and creamers, which made my day. I loved the homemade art on the walls, especially the gold glitter placed on the white canvas. Wonderful hotel rooms. If you're staying in Bathurst, Gold-pan motor in is a must.

Room #19 was spotless and really spacious for two adults. Breakfast was included, with cereal, toast, tea, coffee, fruit juice, and yoghurt, and we found it quite satisfactory. We usually stay at one of two other places in Bathurst, but this was $20 cheaper and the free breakfast persuaded us to try it. The facilities are dated, like my house, but we got on fine and everything worked. We were pleased that the kettle fit under the bathroom sink tap. The only issue was a tradie with a mid-sized truck, not a ute, who parked outside our unit at 6.00 am and left the engine running while packing his things. Thoughtless people are everywhere.

The rooms were clean and the aircon worked well, but we were charged a surge price because of a weekend event. The hot water tap in the shower sprayed water, and the smoke detector chirped all night, so it seems they don’t check the batteries.

Parking was easy, the breakfast was wonderful, and the room was fabulous. It was clean and spacious, with a small deck and a roomy bathroom. Highly recommended.
