Lunch at The Grand Hotel was a real highlight of our trip on the heritage train to Kiama on the NSW South coast. I ordered the Beer Battered Fish and chips, and it was so delicious. The staff at The Grand Hotel were courteous, friendly, and professional. I can’t recommend a visit enough. If you’re in Kiama, do yourself a favour and have a meal and drinks at The Grand Hotel. :)

Tucked away from the main street, this is a great pub for lunch. The food was delicious, the beers were cold, and the bartenders were friendly.

I’ve been going to Kiama Grand for 5 years, but the food has gradually gone downhill and I won’t be back to The Grand Hotel. My $49 Scotch Fillet was inedible, tasteless, full of sinews, and didn’t look like Scotch Fillet or the quality advertised. The vegetables were passable. Our dog had a $49 meal. It’s a shame, because this place used to be really good.

We’ve eaten at the pub a few times recently and the food has been great every time. This visit, my husband had the Lamb Backstrap with perfectly cooked veggies, and I had the special ravioli, which was so delicious. We finished with Choc Lava and Tiramisu. Both mains and dessert were perfect. Definitely Gastro Pub.

We’ve had steak here twice now and both times it was cooked well, with a great selection to choose from. I had the Rib Eye @$65 and you can’t find better for the price anywhere else. It does get busy, and it can be hard to secure a table number that’s free and stays free while you order at the bar, since you need one.
