It’s very close to the main township and restaurants, which was handy. The room was small but very clean, with a comfortable bed. Staff were friendly, and reception were happy to help with my request about which room. The bottled water was a nice touch after a long day driving.

We paid over $400 for two nights and left after the first. Honestly, camping might have been better. There’s no dedicated parking by the room, so getting everything between the car and room was a job in itself. The main problem was the noise. The email says no parties and no noise after 10pm, but on Friday a group came back around 11pm and stayed at the barbecue area opposite our room until about 2am, drinking and talking loudly. They kept going in and out of the rooms beside us, slamming every screen door and room door as they went. The walls are so thin that once they went back inside, we could still hear them talking and laughing. We couldn’t sleep, even though the bed itself was comfortable. Check-in wasn’t pleasant either. The woman was stand-offish and offered no advice about food or anything else. The room was clean, but tiny, really too small for two people, tired-looking and smelled of dogs. The bathroom was clean too, but the shower was just awful.

We’d happily come back. The apartment was spacious and refurbished, and the staff were very friendly from check-in onward. The location was good too, with two beaches nearby.

It’s a really lovely place and very budget friendly. Everything is close by, which makes getting around so much easier. If I come to Kiama again, I’ll stay here.
